Dolpo Festival Trekking Overview
Dolpo Festival Trekking in the Upper Dolpo is a hidden land of Dolpo where Tibetan styles Bon-culture and Bhotiya culture still alive. The region still untouched with modern world’s facilities and have bestowed typical culture and tradition.The geographical structure rugged, terrine & remoteness are its interesting features.
The Shey festival 2014 is going to be organised at Shey Gonpa. Shey Gonpa has its legendary connection in Buddhism. A mythical says that a ascetic master Duptop Singhe Yiese had been arrived in Shay during dragon year,while he had been arrived there, the place was whole of devils & people were in terrible situation.With riding on lion the masters had destroyed all the devils and settled the people. Since that, in every 12 years cycle the festival occurred still now. So Year 2014 August 28th to September 2nd is the great ceremonial occasion Dragon Year.

Cost does Not include:
- Nepal Visa fee (bring accurate USD cash and two passport photographs)
- Kathmandu/Pokhara Hotel room and all accommodation such as Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (and also in the case of early return from mountain than the scheduled itinerary)
- Excess baggage charges (if you have more than 20 kg luggage, cargo charge is around $1.5 per kg)
- Altitude chamber (PAC) or oxygen Travel and rescue insurance
- Personal expenses (phone calls, laundry, bar bills, sleeping bag, battery recharge, extra porters, bottled water, shower, heater, etc.) Optional trips and sightseeing if extended
- Helicopter evacuation incase of immergency.
- Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, early return from mountain (due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary
