Kanchenjunga Expedition Overview
Mount Kanchenjunga Expedition Peak is world’s third highest mountain and is often described as the most beautiful among all. Kanchenjunga has four summits consisting of a main summit, middle summit, south summit and west summit. It’s basically a huge mountain mass consisting of several satellite peaks rising from its narrow icy ridges.
Mt. Kanchenjunga Expedition Peak lies on the border of Sikkim and Nepal, only 46 miles northwest of Darjeeling. The mountain falls inside the territory of ‘Kanchenjunga Conservation Area’ project run collaboratively by World wildlife fund and Nepal government. The sanctuary preserves some of world’s endangered species including ‘red panda’, several other mountain animals and various species of birds and plants.
Expedition to kanchenjunga commences from the base camp in the panoramic meadows at 5,180 meters on the North face.
While we try our level best to follow through the itinerary, the adventure travel in the remote mountain region is unpredictable and involves high risk. Therefore, our expedition leader has power to amend the itinerary if he thinks it’s necessary due to safety concerns.
Please follow through the detailed itinerary and get back to us for any further assistance!
