Langtang village trek is the nearest trekking destination from Kathmandu, only a short bus drive takes us to the access point to reach the village. The ‘Langtang Valley’ also known as the valley of glaciers is between the main Himalayan ranges to the north, touching Tibet and a slightly lower range of peaks to the south. The village is neatly terraced, encircled with magnificent snow-capped peaks, rugged rocks and swift mountain streams.
One of the major attractions of the trek to the Langtang village is its local inhabitants ‘Tamang people’ of the Tibetan origin. The Tamang people still have the unchanged culture and tradition that they are carrying forward since the time of their settlement. The whole Langtang region falls in the Langtang National Park, so the trek through the village also offers enough chances to explore the rich bio-diversity, wildlife and rich ethnic cultures being practiced through ages.
Please remember that we at Skyline Treks and Expedition have years of experience organizing successful and fun treks in the Langtang region. Also, the region has plenty of options in terms of the attractions point and we know it perfectly to blend those attractions point in the same trekking package. Therefore, get in touch with us to plan your perfect the Langtang village trek now!

We have travelled many places around the world and prefer to use local companies. After some Internet searching I came across Skyline treks. They put together a great itinerary for us. We travelled for 5 weeks in Nepal including treking to Annapurna base camp, rafting the Seti river, Chitwan National Park, and most of the local attractions around Kathmandu, Pokhara, and everywhere in between. We had a fantastic experience.
We have travelled as a private group with local companies and with international travel companies before. I have to say I much prefer local companies and Skyline treks in no exception. What you gain by traveling with local groups is getting to know people including your guides, drivers, and many people along the way. There is a much greater interaction with local people that will enrich your trip. Having the same driver and guides, porters etc over many weeks allows good friendships to be formed and for a much more personal trip. Raj, the owner of the company took great care of us. When the going got tough on the abc trek with ice and snow, there was always a helping hand. We always had hot drinks shortly after arriving at the tea houses. Go and have a great adventure in Nepal with skyline treks if you haven't been or try them if you are returning. We would love to return in the future to see more of this charming country and friendly people.
