Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu, pick up from airport by Earthbound Expeditions representative and Check into hotel rest day
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing: Monkey Temple- one of the oldest Buddhist Stupa in Valley Pashupatinath- the cremation places of Hindu death body, Bodhanath- the biggest Buddhist temple, Patan Durbar Square- the finest example of metal and stone carving back to 14th century. Stay overnight in hotel
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara- 215 km west of Kathmandu by A/C tourist coach. It is a famous sightseeing point for travelers with beautiful lake and mountain ranges. One of the most beautiful lake cities in the world. Sight-seeing in Pokhara: David’s fall, temple in Phewa Lake, boating in Phewa lake, hilltop monastery visit. Overnight in hotel.
Day 04: Drive to Sarangkot – 6500ft. for sunrise and close-up view of Annapurna & Fishtail Mountain. Full day in Pokhara excursions & sightseeing, stay in Pokhara.
Day 05: Drive to the birthplace of the Buddha, Lumbini is the Mecca of every Buddhist, being one of the four holy places of Buddhism. - stay in Lumbini.
Day 06: Sight-seeing in Lumbini: Asoka Pillar, Maya Devi Temple, Puskarni (sacred bathing pool), various monasteries etc.
Day 07: Drive back to Kathmandu ( have option to use flight at extra cost). A half-day shopping and enjoys a Nepali cultural show and dinner in evening.
Day 08: Airport drive for final departure

We had a fantastic experience

We have travelled many places around the world and prefer to use local companies. After some Internet searching I came across Skyline treks. They put together a great itinerary for us. We travelled for 5 weeks in Nepal including treking to Annapurna base camp, rafting the Seti river, Chitwan National Park, and most of the local attractions around Kathmandu, Pokhara, and everywhere in between. What you gain by traveling with local groups is getting to know people including your guides, drivers, and many people along the way. There is a much greater interaction with local people that will enrich your trip. Having the same driver and guides, porters etc over many weeks allows good friendships to be formed and for a much more personal trip. Raj, the owner of the company took great care of us. When the going got tough on the abc trek with ice and snow, there was always a helping hand. We always had hot drinks shortly after arriving at the tea houses.
